AgroPages-US to approve pear ester against codling moth-Agricultural news

The US EPA has proposed to approve registration of ethyl-2E,4Z-decadienoate (pear ester) as a biochemical pesticide for codling moths mating disruption. It would be applied as a foliar spray or contained within polymeric dispensers.The registration was applied by US pheromone company Bedoukian Research. The public comment has been opened until Aug 22, 2013.
