FMC to present innovative sugarcane portfolio at Megacana Tech Showqrcode

On 7th and 8th August, FMC will participate in one of the largest fairs of the sugar-energy sector, the Megacana Tech Show, which will be held in Campo Florido-MG, Brazil and bring together farmers, experts, students and other professionals in the field.
During the show, the company will present its complete sugarcane cultivation portfolio, which includes herbicides, nematicides, fungicides, insecticides and biologicals. “We will explain how to perform integrated management efficiently and responsibly. Our goal is to maximize the productive potential of sugarcane crops, and offer realistic and customized solutions to producers,” said João Claudio Mansur, Marketing Coordinator of FMC.
To control broad and narrow leaves through residuality, the herbicides, Boral® (sulfentrazone) and Reator 360 CS® (clomazone), will be launched, to combat many types of weeds and prevent early selectivity, resulting in higher yields for sugarcane farmers.
Another important product is the chemical nematicide, Marshal Star® (carbosulfan), in wood cutting mode, which can produce yields of up to 17 tons per hectare and increase the longevity of sugarcane by one or two additional cuts.
Another highlighted product is the insecticide, Altacor® (chlorantraniliprole), which is used against cane drill with high insecticide power and a long control period. Due to its unique mode of action, Altacor maintains excellent crop protection and the rapid food stoppage of pest insects, resulting in greater productivity in a sustainable and safe manner, not only in foliar applications but also in soil applications. It is also known to control Sphenophorus levis, termites and cane sucker moth.
Bionematicide Quartzo® (Bacillus subtilis + Bacillus licheniformis), which is a biological product that is effective in controlling nematodes and can be applied at the time of planting, as well as by transplanting of seedlings during the crop cycle or even after harvest. This technology is recommended for controlling lesion nematode (Pratylenchus zeae and P. brachyurus) and gallbladder nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica).
