DuPont Vydate brand insecticide/nematicide products – including Vydate C-LV (oxamyl) for use in cotton – will be fully available for sale and use during the 2018 growing season.
DuPont has also established a new product distribution supply chain and retail network that allows retailers to provide growers with access to the Vydate family of products.
“Vydate products have long been proven to provide consistent control or suppression of several above- and below-ground pests,” said Matt Garrett, product manager for Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont. “The return of Vydate products represents an important control option for growers.”
Vydate products provide both foliar translaminar and soil systemic activity for top-down and roots-up control of damaging insects, including aphids, mites, thrips, leafminer, weevil, leafhopper and other yield-robbing pests across multiple life stages. Nematode feeding, movement, reproduction and hatching are also reduced.
In addition, the insecticidal and nematicidal properties of Vydate products have been shown to enhance plant vigor for a strong start, promoting a healthier, better-quality crop.
“We appreciate the patience and support from retailers, growers and others as we have worked through the required steps to ensure we provide the quality and efficacy they expect from Vydate brand products,” Garrett said. “With this supply chain in place, we are again able to offer an effective, consistent answer to crop issues due to damaging nematodes and insects.”
