During the Expodireto 2018, held in the city of Não-Me-Toque, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, the Tropical Melhoramento and Genética (TMG) presented nine cultivars with four new launches.
TMG 7067IPRO has Inox® technology, which brings more resistance to Asian rust (P. pachyrhizi), Diaporthe Sp, and several nematodes. This variety has a wide breadth of adaptation and brings about excellent productivity in this crop. The variety has stability, early cycle, maturation group 6.7, and a heavy weight of 1,000 seeds (PMS).
TMG 7063IPRO has Inox technology for resistance to Asian rust. Rusticity, stability and a high productive roof are the differentials. It has an early cycle, maturation group 6.3, resistance to phyphoretic race 1, and junction of technologies Inox and Intacta RR2 Pro, providing safety to farmers.
TMG also presented pre-launches, such as TMG 7061IPRO, which present a high yield roof with an early cycle, rustic root system, and high PMS. “It is a variety that adds to the portfolio of cultivars with high productive yields," Daniel Sbardelotto, development consultant for the South Market of Brazil, explained. Similar to TMG 7260IPRO, it has a junction of technologies Inox and Intacta RR2 PRO, resistance to Phytophthora race 1, and high PMS.
Among the RR cultivars, the pre-launch of TMG 1759RR, indicated for the coldest regions (Planalto and Missions in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul), has high productive yields, resistance to Phytophthora race 1 and an excellent option for refuge. Other RR cultivars that are already part of the portfolio for some time now are TMG 726RR, which brings the Inox technology, TMG 7161RR, and TMG 7363RR, both indicated for lowland.
