Valent’s Danitol insecticide approved for use in New York

Valent U.S.A. Corporation received New York state registration for the use of Danitol insecticide (active ingredient: fenpropathrin) on stone fruit.

Danitol is a highly effective, broad spectrum insecticide containing the active ingredient fenpropathrin, already registered for use in pome fruit, grapes, strawberries and vegetables in New York.

Growers looking for economical pest control can now use Danitol to protect even more crops threatened by a variety of tough pests. "Growers who deal with oriental fruit moth, Japanese beetle, plum curculio, tarnished plant bug, European red mite and two-spotted spider mite problems in their orchards will be glad to have this powerful new tool in their toolbox," said Gary Kirfman, field market development specialist for Valent. "Danitol will provide a good option for growers who want to control pests before they damage the crop."

Unfortunately, growers often exchange one headache for another by using chemistries that flare secondary pest populations. Danitol sets itself apart by offering broad spectrum control that is proven to manage tough pest populations without flaring mites.
